Apollo's Lost Cargo

Shape-shifters are taking over the world

Replacing the positions of all my dear friends

Exchanging them with the living dead

If I had the power I'd kill them all

And bring back what was once so glorious

I tried my hardest to see through their game

Blind am I to the truth set before my eyes

Along came a girl, lost and weary

Full of doubt from visions seen so unclearly

She sank her own ship long ago

I tried to rescue her and bring her aboard

I told her everything would be just fine

She tried to blame me so I'd take the fall

Then she sank my boat as well

Vampires stalk me in my sleep

Trying to kill off this dying breed

They spread the disease to all the others

And now I am the only survivor

The last of my kind, a lost species

Extinct, forgotten; dead

I died later one night while I slept peacefully and somber

Father came into my room and cried “what killed you, my son?”

He turned behind and saw her sneering with an evil grin

She attacked my dreams and my hopes as well

She devoured of my mind and dined on my sanity

And drank of my love only to spit it at my face

What am I to do now that I am dead?

All that was done was never said

I am a floating spirit, drifting with the breeze

Maybe I will haunt her dreams, until she sees

What she has done to me
