Lucent Sun

Her beauty is my gloriously lucent sun
Shining its brilliance upon this dark and lonely world
Guiding my way through the dark aftermath of what was to become
Such elegance and tranquility that became chaos and destruction
Radiance in full view, giving its power to the eons beyond
The eternal essence of struggle and determination
Born from the insane, supreme power of our worldly oppressors
Raping us, holding us down, making us do as they please
The icy grip of the iron fist clenches my throat
Crush my spine and gouge my eyes
I will never bow down to lies
For I have my sun to birth my dawn
Quench my illogical hunger for love and peace
Oh, star, up there so very high
Like a diamond in the empty, black sky
Sparkle away, you giver of hope
Forever I am gratuitous to you
Grasp me now, before I melt my waxy wings

She Dines Well Tonight

I can see the edges begin to blur
Feel the winds of change begin to blow
The paper that built this love begins to burn
Devouring my mind-set just so
The inferno roars to life in this self-made hole
Trapping me like a rat in a cage
With such vigor, she ripped out my soul
Burning with evil, fueled by rage
She dines well tonight
She killed well tonight
