Realizing The Impossible

It all started when I was nine
All things seemed so fine
Walking with a gun to my back
I wasn’t what they wanted me to be
I never knew the meaning of childhood
Wanting something everyone else had
For me it was impossible to attain
Dying for the love I always sought
Realizing that this was impossible
I tried to shatter my chains
But still I am held down to this day
For those of you who think they are depressed
You don’t even know the meaning of the word
